Yea I understand things happen and tracking your spending and income is sometimes the last thing on your mind.. It was just surprising you didn&#39;t know :P I remember reading you wish you could keep track of your grocery spending with your boyfriend to the penny.<br /><br /><br />Anyways, I just wanted to let you know I never meant to say you were scamming the government or anything.. I didn&#39;t say that it wasn&#39;t. It&#39;s worth a shot to try and get the penalty removed, as it has been almost 2 years since I was on EI.<br /><br />At the time I was on EI, I did not receive weekly or bi-weekly EI payments. I lived off of my Emergency Fund and income from my (very) PT job, then received one lump sum at the end (because they had messed up on some paperwork at the beginning, causing a delay), after I had started employment with another company. It was during Christmas time and I was stressing over moving, just started dating <b>J</b>, and I was not tracking my spending very well. So no I did not realize I got paid for an extra week.<br /><br />It is definitely not in my character to try and &quot;scam&quot; an extra week of EI payments out of the government, as I was very reluctant to claim EI in the first place and I&#39;m just not that type of person.
