So a while ago everyone was showing what was in their purse in order to win Well-Heeled's What's In My Bag contest. As I was Canadian, I didn't bother entering because it was only open to US residents, but I did mean to post the contents of my bag anyway on my blog since a few other Canadians also ended up joining in on the fun even though they weren't eligible. And as usual, I'm a little late to the party. But better late than never, right? :)

My one and only purse is a Roots Village Venetian Bag that I got last year on sale on Boxing Day. I'd like to get a new bag this year, but probably won't. This one is holding up well and the leather is so soft and wonderful.

I don't carry a lot of crap in my bag. I also don't carry any make-up for touch-ups. In my purse are also some womenly products that I don't care to take a picture of for my blog. So just pretend that they're there too. :)

  • Purse - Bought on sale for Boxing Day last year at Roots. Regular price $195, and I bought it for $135 all taxes in.
  • Scarf - I got this from the Richmond Night Market last year for $12.50 (2 for $25).
  • Umbrella - Cheapo $10 umbrella I picked up about a year ago from H&M.
  • Wallet - Bought for approx. $60 (full price) from Fossil about 1.5 years ago.
  • Coupon - Ever since I did that Clorox promotion on my website, I've been carrying an extra coupon to give to my mom to try out.
  • 3x sets of keys - The blue lanyard are my personal keys. The red lanyard are work keys. And the car keys are obviously car keys (which I keep in a zippered pocket in my purse as my car has keyless entry and keyless drive). All 3 key chains were free.
  • Fibre 1 oats & chocolate bar - a snack in case I ever get hungry. Bought in bulk at Costco. Broken down, probably about $0.40 per bar.
  • Sharpie - Extra fine tip. Always carry a pen with me. I've had it for about 3 years, but probably bought it for $2?
  • Cell phone - Nokia cell phone bought for $87.66 US last month.
  • Hair tie - $0.50 each? Bought in a package of 10 I think...
  • Stamps - Left over stamps from the Clorox promotion. The booklet of 10 cost $5.40.
  • Button packet - A random extra button packet from something I bought at Banana Republic a long time ago. I have no idea what article of clothing it's actually from.
  • Sample of Aveda energizing body cleanser - Free from my hair stylist over the weekend.
  • Nivea chap stick - Bought a few months ago for about $2.50.
  • Refresh tear drops - free, bought earlier this year by J's mom.

I saw this on Well-Heeled's blog as well and never participated. Now that you AND The Asian Pear both posted on this today I think I will as well.

Aren't those Fibre 1 bars delicious??

I also like these types of posts! It is like seeing the inner most part of a person. I did one last year and could not believe how much stuff was in my purse.

I have been a bit better about cleaning it out since then. Changing purses also helps.
