Yesterday I picked J up from work, and we ended up going to Red Robins for burgers and onion rings (he treated). It came to just over $30. We were supposed to go rock climbing, but instead we did pretty much the exact opposite. Bad, I know. But sometimes you just get the craving for a big, delicious burger.
We had frozen burgers and buns in the fridge, so we could have just gone home and made something for free. But it wouldn't have been as good, or with as many tasty ingredients. And now that we live together, it's in our budget to go out to eat once per week and alternate who pays.
I guess it wouldn't bother me so much except for the fact that we have a double date with my friends on Friday night, so the IMAX will likely cost about $35 for the both of us (much more expensive than the regular theatre). So we'll have to eat somewhere like Subway or Quiznos to keep the dinner expense down. Besides, we won't have much time in between getting off of work and driving to the IMAX anyway to go anywhere to sit down and eat.
