Savings Fund
Posted onI've almost reached my initial goal of $1,000 into my Savings Fund. Once I hit that mark, I'll bump up my savings goal to $3,000.
This account is going to be holding 2 serious purchases coming up - my car insurance renewal in November (although I think I might just do a monthly payment when I renew, since I will have to cancel the insurance anyway when we leave - no sense in having all that money locked up) ... and of course my LASIK eye surgery that's due in January.

CONGRATS :) It's so exciting to reach a savings goal.
I haven't read enough of our blog to know what your ins. costs are but I was shocked when I checked around and found the $800.00 a year my husband and I were paying on one car could be dropped to $244.00 by using Geico. Liberty, Allstate and Providence all quoted in the $800.00 range.
I am guessing you can't get as low as us as we are married and OLD :) and it is only one car - but it might be worth checking out - I have heard both good and bad about Geico, but the savings were just too good to pass up. Maybe it will help you?
